Start em’ if you got ‘em – Week 15

If you are a week late to the fantasy playoff festivities, welcome. It was a wild week in my leagues, and I’m sure it was for you too. In most leagues we are down to the final four, I’m going to help you get the win and make some money next week in championship week. Good luck!

Start ‘em if you got ‘em

Johnny Manziel vs CIN – Sure, I’ll buy into the hype of Johnny Football. Cincinnati has not been playing well, but they have been pretty stingy vs the pass. Manziel will get you those rushing yards, and I bet he runs one in again this week. In a bind (Kaepernick, Tannehill) I’d go with Johnny, plus you can do his “money dance” with him every time he scores for you since you will likely be making the money round yourself.

Matt Ryan vs PIT – Back-to-back great weeks from Ryan, and last week was on the road. Now he returns home vs one of the worst pass d’s in the league. I’d trust him again this week, but make sure Julio is playing, he will need his number one weapon in order to have another big game for you.

Running Back

Jonathan Stewart vs TB – If he’s somehow still available in your league, stop reading and go pick him up, he has a great matchup vs the Bucs, Cam Newton is out, and it looks like DeAngelo Williams will be missing another week. It sets up nice for Stewart and if you grabbed him this week off waivers, it will set up nice for you as well. He should be a go in all formats.

Mark Ingram @ CHI – Not a good game last week, but in the cold on Monday night I think Brees will want to hand this guy the rock a few times. The Bears are not a scary defense and when the Saints grab the lead, they will use Ingram to knock the Bears out. I think he scores this week for this first time since week 9.

Wide Receiver

Emmanuel Sanders @ SD – He’s been my man all year, but the last two weeks he’s struggled. In a game I think Denver pours it on in, you need to trust him. The “missing” passing game of the Broncos will quiet all the doubters this week. I have Sanders in two leagues where I lost in heartbreaking fashion last week, which I am still not yet ready to talk about, he will have a good game… Trust Me.

Randall Cobb @ BUF – Buffalo has been playing very well on the defensive side, but I’m hearing Cobb will be across from Nickell Robey, who is having an awful second season and may very well be the worst slot cover guy in the game.  Cobb was quiet last week on Monday night, but is not a guy you will be taking out of your lineup. Use him with confidence.

Tight End

Jimmy Graham @ CHI – It may be a bit ironic that he is on this list this week because chances are if you have him, he was your first round pick, and if he was your first round pick, you probably aren’t still alive in the playoffs. Either way, he is going to dominate this week. The Bears have been the worst in the league all year vs the tight end position. Jimmy Graham will win you this week, even though he almost lost you the last two.

KC vs OAK – In this divisional game I love the home team vs a bad team who played well last week. No way Carr and the Raiders can do it again, I love KC in this spot and the defense should come up big for you. The rookie on the road will not be able to move the ball.

Sit ‘em and quit ‘em

Colin Kaepernick @ SEA – He was on my start list last week, and I just can’t give him any more chances. We need to face it and realize he is just not a good quarterback. Find someone else, anyone else. He plays in Seattle vs a team who seems to have their championship mojo back. I’d stay clear of this guy this week, and next year for that matter.

Ryan Tannehill @ NE – Yikes, not the matchup you are hoping for if he’s a guy you’ve been switching in and out of your lineup. New England is really good vs the pass and that secondary is playing great. Tannehill on the road in New England is someone you will want to stay away from.

Running Back

Lamar Miller @ NE – He has only one 100 yard rushing game this season, and that was way back in week 2. Not a guy I’m starting in New England, where the Dolphins can get down early. Patriots got beat by them in week one, so you know Belichick and the Pats are wanting to pour it on.

San Diego Backfield vs DEN – Not sure if Mathews is going to play or not, Brown seems to be the second back, and Oliver is not playing at all. This is a backfield I will stay away from in week 15 vs the Broncos run D. They are giving up just over 70 yards per game on the ground, this split carries, however it is going to be distributed is not enough to risk in a playoff week.

Wide Receiver

Charles Johnson @ DET – I just don’t trust Bridgewater, and it’s a really tough matchup when heading to Detroit. He had a nice game last week with 100 yards and a touchdown, but this is not the type of player who does it on consecutive weeks. If you started him last week, nice call, and if you didn’t, don’t chase these points.

Anquan Boldin @ SEA – I really don’t think Kaepernick can get anyone the ball. Boldin has been adequate this year, but he’s been nothing special, and now he’s struggled in two straight games. He won’t be able to get open vs the Legion of Boom. Stay away this week.

Tight End

Jordan Cameron vs CIN – Cameron has been struggling all year and is not someone I would use this week. Johnny Football is taking over, and will want to go downfield. He also probably has not had much time to play with Cameron, and I doubt the chemistry is there. Use someone else this week.

Philadelphia vs DAL – The Cowboys need a win here and will play the Eagles very tough. They run the ball really well and limit their turnovers, so the Eagles aren’t the best option here when looking to make a championship, though they have been scoring a lot of touchdowns this year. I’d look to play the waiver wire with a better option vs a worse team.
