WEEK 14 SPREAD PICKS BY: Richard Donohue (@floworcrash)

Had a rough one last week. Thanks to Andrew Luck’s last second heroics and Peyton being Peyton, I went 1 – 2. My overall record is now 15 – 10. This just won’t do folks. I need to get my head back in the game and turn this around.

Baltimore Ravens + 2 ½ at WASHINGTON REDSKINS:

RGIII! RGIII! RGIII! Is there a more exciting guy to watch in the NFL right now? The guy is an animal and along with fellow rookie sensation Alfred Morris, The Skins have been on fire. They have now won 3 games in a row, all in the division and have made the NFC East a dogfight going into the final stretch. The Ravens simply laid an egg against the rival Steelers, allowing Charlie Batch to beat them with his first TD pass since 2010. Joe Flacco played horrible, going for only 188 yds with 1 TD and an INT. For some reason Flacco just hasn’t played well on the road this year. I believe this game will reverse both teams’ fortunes. The Redskins are exciting to watch, but RGIII isn’t unstoppable. A very lucky fumble recovery and some ticky tack calls helped the Skins out quite a bit against the Giants. Plus, for as good as the offense can be, the Washington Secondary is as horrible. After last week, Flacco, Smith and Boldin will look to rebound. The Redskins, second to last in the league against the pass, will be a perfect fit for them.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS  - 5 ½ vs. Tennessee Titans:

Being a lifelong Jet fan, I’ve become pretty jealous of certain teams. I’m not afraid to admit it. Look at these Colts. They go from having one the all time greats in Peyton Manning, lose him to injury, only to get the number one pick. They now have the heir apparent in Andrew Luck, who is looking to lead his team to the playoffs in his first year. You know how all of that would’ve went down if that were the Jets? Don’t get me started. Anyway, sometimes you need to go with the hot hand, and the Colts are hot. They’ve won two in a row including a last second backbreaker to the Lions in their building. Now they come home, and face a meager Tennessee team, losers of two straight.  The Titans may or may not get Chris Johnson going, but they can’t stop anyone. Remember what Chad Henne did to them? The Colts appear to be a team of destiny and I’m going to ride them.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – 10 ½ vs. Arizona Cardinals:

10 ½ is a lot to give up in an NFL game, but this one is easy. Arizona may have the worst looking offense in the game right now. I feel bad of Larry Fitzgerald, he needs a competent QB to throw to him. I’m a Jets fan, remember? I watched last week’s SNOOZEFEST in its entirety. Did you? The Cardinals actually have a decent defense, but that offense is so bad. Ryan Lindley simply cannot play. Now he’s going up to Seattle, one the hardest places to play in the league. I see a delicious buffet of turnovers, false starts and delay of games being served to the 13th man. They will eat that guy alive. Even if Whisenhunt benches him for Skelton, it won’t matter. Seattle is 5 – 0 at home this year, and are 5-0 ATS at home as well. The battle of the birds will be all Hawks.
