Week 5 Waiver Wire Report

BYE Week: Chicago, New Orleans, Carolina, Jacksonville

Adds: Welcome them to your family, they're one of us now...

Christian Ponder (MIN)-I'm still high on Ponder and the Vikings in general. The kid can play and is a nice bench quarterback for your team.
Russell Wilson (SEA)-Gets the Patriots at home, who have been allowing big points to QBs. If yours is on a bye, he's a nice fill in.
Brady Quinn (KC)-Cassel is a nightmare, and got a concussion. Quinn may get a chance and run with it.
Josh Freeman (TB)-Freeman is due for a big game at some point and has Kansas City at home. Grab him.

William Powell (AZ)- Ryan Williams is hurt and officially out for the year. Powell will get a chance to be the lead dog in Arizona. The only problem is the Cardinals offensive line is terrible. Powell is still worth an add and see what he can do.

Alex Green (GB)- Cedric Benson has already been ruled out for week 6, Green should get the bulk of the carries. Green Bay doesn't run the ball too often, but Green is worth a roster spot if you can afford one.

Ronnie Hillman (DEN)-Willis McGahee is the man in Denver, but fumbling problems may allow Hillman to get more of an opportunity. Hillman is a three down back that needs experience, but his playing time will increase in the coming weeks.

Lamar Miller (MIA)- Daniel Thomas got a concussion on Sunday, allowing Miller to resume the backup running back behind Reggie Bush. Bush has been getting nicked up himself recently, and Miller would be in line for a lot of carries if Bush is limited.

Wide Receivers

Devery Henderson (NO)-Had a big game Sunday night for the Saints without Lance Moore in the lineup. If Moore, whose been an injury risk for much of his career, continues to miss time, Henderson is a good play.

Jordan Norwood (CLE)- Nine receptions this past weekend, and five the following week are nothing the sneeze at, especially in ppr leagues. Greg Little struggles with consistency, and the coaches seem to be favoring Norwood in the passing attack. Add if you need some depth at the wide receiver spot.

Tight End

Rob Housler (AZ)-Housler is starting to make more plays and it helps that AZ has no running game to mention. If you are thin at tight end, gambling of Housler isn't a bad  idea.

Colby Fleener (IND)-Fleener's repoire with Andrew Luck is showing up more these days. The former teammates in Stanford are going to continue to connect as they both get more comfortable with the offensive system in Indy.
